We are immensely proud to have received the Gold Glass (Bicchiere d'Oro) at the Milan International Olive Oil Award 2025, one of Italy's most prestigious olive oil competitions.
About the Competition
The Milan International Olive Oil Award (MIOOA), now in its sixth edition, is organized by oleologist and writer Luigi Caricato as part of the Olio Officina cultural project. The competition is open to all olive producers, manufacturers, and oil trading companies worldwide. What sets MIOOA apart is its rigorous evaluation process: all extra virgin olive oils undergo completely blind tasting by expert panels from ONAOO (Organizzazione Nazionale Assaggiatori Olio di Oliva), the world's oldest and most respected olive oil tasting school.
Evaluation Process
Each oil is first evaluated by professional tasters from ONAOO, then subsequently tasted by Ho.Re.Ca. (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering) operators, food journalists, and discerning consumers. This multi-tiered approach ensures that winning oils excel not only in technical quality but also in real-world culinary applications. The awards ceremony took place at the prestigious Palazzo Castiglioni in Milan, coinciding with the Forum Olio & Ristorazione.

Among hundreds of entries from producers across the globe, VerdePaciano was awarded the Gold Glass for our DOP Umbria - Colli del Trasimeno extra virgin olive oil. The award specifically honored our oil's outstanding fruity profile, perfect balance of bitterness and piquancy, and superior adherence to DOP standards.
