Terms and Conditions of Sale


1. Seller Identity and Contact Details

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale ("Terms") govern all purchases made through the website verdepaciano.com (the "Website") operated by:

By placing an order on the Website, you ("Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.


2. Scope and Applicability

2.1. These Terms apply to all sales of products offered on the Website to consumers within the meaning of Article 3, paragraph 1, letter a) of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code).

2.2. The Italian language version of these Terms is the legally binding version. Translations are provided for convenience only.

2.3. AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of order placement shall apply.


3. Products

3.1. The Website offers extra virgin olive oil produced from olives harvested in the Colli del Trasimeno area of Umbria, Italy. Our products include DOP (Denominazione di Origine Protetta) certified extra virgin olive oil in various sizes (250ml, 500ml, 750ml, 1L, and 5L).

3.2. Product descriptions, images, and specifications on the Website are as accurate as possible. Minor variations in color, appearance, or packaging may occur due to the natural characteristics of olive oil and seasonal production differences.

3.3. Each product is traceable through our lot tracking system. Harvest year, production lot, and laboratory analysis data are available via QR codes on product labels.


4. Prices and Taxes

4.1. All prices displayed on the Website are in Euros (EUR) and include applicable Italian VAT (IVA).

4.2. Prices are valid at the time of order placement and may be updated without prior notice. The price confirmed in the order confirmation email is the final price.

4.3. Delivery costs are calculated separately and displayed before order confirmation. See Section 7 for delivery terms.


5. Order Procedure

5.1. Product Selection: Browse the Website and add products to your shopping cart.

5.2. Cart Review: Review your selected products, quantities, and total price including delivery costs.

5.3. Checkout: Provide your delivery address and contact information. Select your preferred payment method.

5.4. Order Confirmation: After submitting your order, you will receive a confirmation email summarizing the order details. This email constitutes acceptance of your order and the formation of a binding contract.

5.5. AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders in cases of pricing errors, product unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity.


6. Payment Methods

6.1. The following payment methods are accepted:

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Debit cards
  • Other methods as displayed during checkout

6.2. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor. AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola does not store your credit card details.

6.3. Payment is charged at the time of order placement.


7. Delivery Terms

7.1. Shipping Zones and Estimated Delivery Times:

  • Italy: 3–5 business days
  • European Union: 5–10 business days
  • International (outside EU): 10–20 business days

7.2. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or force majeure events.

7.3. Delivery Costs: Shipping costs depend on the destination, weight, and number of items ordered. The exact delivery cost is calculated and displayed during checkout before order confirmation.

7.4. Risk of Loss: Risk of loss or damage to products passes to the Customer upon delivery to the carrier. However, for consumer purchases within the EU, risk passes upon physical delivery to the Customer or a designated third party.

7.5. A tracking number will be provided by email once your order has been shipped.


8. Right of Withdrawal

8.1. In accordance with Articles 52–59 of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days from the date you (or a third party designated by you) receive the goods, without providing any reason.

8.2. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal: To exercise your right, you must inform us of your decision by sending a clear statement to:

You may use the model withdrawal form provided below, but it is not mandatory.

8.3. Effects of Withdrawal:

  • We will reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for supplementary costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery offered), within 14 days from the date we receive notice of your withdrawal.
  • Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method you used for the original purchase, unless you expressly agree otherwise.
  • We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or until you provide evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier.

8.4. Return of Goods: You must send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you notify us of your withdrawal. The cost of returning the goods is borne by you.

8.5. Condition of Returned Goods: The goods must be returned in their original condition, unopened and unused. You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

8.6. Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery (applies to opened olive oil bottles)
  • Goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly

9. Legal Guarantee of Conformity

9.1. All products sold through the Website are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity as provided by Articles 128–135 of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005, for a period of 2 years from delivery.

9.2. A product is considered non-conforming if it:

  • Does not match the description provided on the Website
  • Is not fit for the purpose for which goods of the same type are normally used
  • Does not present the quality and performance that are normal for goods of the same type

9.3. In case of non-conformity, the Customer is entitled to:

  • Repair or replacement of the product (at no cost), or
  • An appropriate price reduction, or
  • Termination of the contract (if the defect is not minor)

9.4. The Customer must report the defect within 2 months of discovering it. Reports can be sent to info@verdepaciano.com.


10. Limitation of Liability

10.1. AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products or the Website.

10.2. Total liability for any claim related to a purchase shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for that specific order.

10.3. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.


11. Intellectual Property

11.1. All content on the Website, including text, images, logos, graphics, trademarks, and product names, is the property of AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola or its licensors and is protected by Italian and international intellectual property laws.

11.2. "VerdePaciano" is a trademark of AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola. Unauthorized use is prohibited.


12. Force Majeure

12.1. AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government actions, supply chain disruptions, or failures of third-party services.


13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

13.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Italian Republic.

13.2. For consumers residing in the EU, any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the place where the consumer has their residence or domicile, in accordance with EU Regulation 1215/2012.

13.3. For consumers residing in Italy, the competent court is that of the consumer's place of residence or domicile, pursuant to Article 66-bis of the Consumer Code.

13.4. For any dispute that does not fall under the mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules above (including disputes with business customers), the competent court shall be the Court of Perugia (Tribunale di Perugia), Italy.

13.5. Online Dispute Resolution: In accordance with EU Regulation 524/2013, consumers may submit complaints through the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/


14. Amendments to These Terms

14.1. AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The updated version will be published on the Website with a new "Last Updated" date.

14.2. Changes shall not apply to orders already placed and confirmed before the date of the modification.


15. Severability

15.1. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms.

15.2. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.


16. Entire Agreement

16.1. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Return Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AlanUmbro Società Semplice Agricola regarding your use of the Website and purchases made through it.

16.2. These Terms supersede any prior agreements, communications, or proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us relating to the subject matter herein.


17. AI-assisted services and automated ordering

17.1. The Website may offer AI-powered features such as a chat assistant for product recommendations and olive oil information. Use of AI-assisted features is subject to the AI Chat Terms of Use.

17.2. AI-generated recommendations are informational only and do not constitute professional advice. You should not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for your own judgement.

17.3. We may introduce features that allow automated systems to place orders or manage subscriptions on your behalf. Before any such features go live, we will require your explicit consent for each type of automated action.

17.4. Automated transactions are subject to the same consumer protection rights described in these Terms, including the right of withdrawal, legal guarantee of conformity, and all applicable provisions of the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005).
